What You’ll Need

Empty toilet paper roll
Red construction paper
White construction paper
Black construction paper
Red paper for the mouth
Red pompom for the nose (or you can use paper too)
Googly eyes
Cotton balls
Pencil
Scissors
Glue
Black marker

How to make a toilet paper roll Santa Claus

Step 1: Cover the toilet paper roll

Start with an empty toilet paper roll.

Take a sheet of red construction paper and cut it to fit around the toilet paper roll.

Apply glue to the paper and wrap it around the roll. Press the paper down gently so it sticks neatly around the entire roll.

Allow the glue to dry for a few moments before moving on.

Step 2: Add the white hat trim

Take a narrow strip of white construction paper. Glue the strip around the top of the red-covered toilet paper roll.

This will become the white trim at the bottom of Santa’s hat. Make sure the strip is attached evenly around the roll.

Step 3: Add Santa’s face

Now it’s time to start creating Santa’s face!

Cut out a small oval or rounded piece from white paper for Santa’s face and glue it onto the front of the toilet paper roll, just below the hat trim.

Make sure there is enough red paper showing below the face for Santa’s body.

Step 4: Add the eyes

Take two googly eyes and glue them onto Santa’s face. Place them side by side near the top of the white face piece.

The googly eyes give Santa a cute, playful look!

Step 5: Add the beard and mustache

Now for Santa’s fluffy beard!

Cut out a white beard shape from construction paper and glue it onto the lower part of Santa’s face.

Next, add the white mustache just below the eyes and above the beard.

Arrange the pieces neatly so Santa’s face stays clearly visible.

Step 6: Add the nose, buttons, and hat

Now let’s add some of Santa’s most recognizable details!

Take a red pompom or cut a small circle from red paper for Santa’s nose and glue it onto the center of his face.

Next, cut out two small circles from black construction paper for Santa’s buttons. Glue them onto the front of the red body, one below the other.

Finally, take a piece of red construction paper and cut out a large triangle for Santa’s hat.

Glue the hat onto the top of the toilet paper roll, positioning the bottom of the hat over the white trim.

Step 7: Add Santa’s mouth

Glue the mouth piece just below the moustache.

Step 8: Add the cotton ball to the hat

Time for the final finishing touch!

Take a small piece of cotton and roll it into a little ball. Glue it to the tip of Santa’s red hat to create his fluffy white pom-pom.
