So, let’s get started and spread some love this Valentine’s Day!

- Yarn
- Glue
- Heart-shaped craft punch (optional)
Step-by-step tutorial for Valentine’s Day Garland Craft
Step 1: Make a love letter envelope
Take a rectangular sheet of size 11*11 cm.
Now, diagonally fold it from bottom right to top left, making a crease in the middle.
Open the fold.
Fold it diagonally from bottom left to top right, making a crease in the middle.
Open it back again.
Now, rotate the paper a little bit so that the paper is a rhombus figure.
You can see the intersection of two diagonal creases in the center, which is the middle point.
Fold the right corner towards the center, the middle point, as shown in the picture above, and make a crease on the right edge when the corner meets the middle point.
Similarly, fold the left corner towards the center and make a crease on the left edge.
Now, bring the bottom corner up towards the center, but here we leave some space between the edges, as shown in the above picture.
And thus, the corner does not exactly meet the the middle point, but lies a little bit below the point.
The next step is to fold the bottom ‘right and left’ corners upwards so that they lie on the same line as the middle corner we folded earlier. Make a crease.
Now, fold the bottom flap up and make a crease.
Apply some glue on the bottom flap and paste it to the paper. Fold the top corner downward and make a crease.
And the paper envelope is ready!
Step 2: Make paper hearts
Making paper hearts is easy.
Take the color papers of your choice. We need two colors for making these hearts. So choose any two colors you like.
Take a rectangular piece of paper and fold it in half. Now, draw the half of a heart shape beside the folded edge. Cut along the outline.
When you open, you get the heart shape.
Now, let’s make some more hearts, this time, smaller ones.
If you have a heart punch, you can use that or just cut manually. Cut out 6-7 small hearts and paste them on the envelope. You can paste the bigger heart in the middle.
Step 3: Make the garland
Make different kinds of envelopes with different designs like in the picture shown above.
Attach each envelope to the yarn and seal the center – the opening of the envelope – using glue.
And our garland is done!
Let kids hang it in their room. We think it is an adorable craft to spread love this Valentine’s Day.
TIP: If you don’t want to make a garland, you can make these envelopes and make your kids write some love messages and give it to friends and family.
