Take a sheet of blue construction paper and trace the turkey body portion of the template.

Then cut out the blue body shape.

Next, use brown construction paper to make the turkey’s head. Trace the head shape from the template and cut it out.

Glue the brown cut-out head onto the blue body portion, positioning it near the top of the body.

Set the assembled body aside while you prepare the superhero costume pieces.

Step 3: Draw the feather, cape, and boots

Take a sheet of red construction paper.

Using the template as a guide, draw the large feather tail, superhero cape, and boots onto the red paper.

Make sure each shape is clearly outlined so it will be easy to cut in the next step.

Step 4: Cut the red pieces

Now carefully cut out all the shapes you drew on the red construction paper.

Cut out the feather tail, cape, and two boots.

Once all the pieces are cut, use a black marker to outline the edges of each piece. This will make the shapes stand out and give them a more defined look.

Keep all the pieces together so they are ready for assembling the turkey.

Step 5: Make the yellow belt

Take a sheet of yellow construction paper and place the belt portion of the template over it.

Trace the belt carefully with a pencil, then cut it out. Use a black marker to outline the inside of the belt.

Set the yellow belt aside with the other prepared pieces.

Take the Superman emblem from the template and color it in using your preferred colors.

Once the emblem is fully colored, carefully cut it out around the edges.

This will become the main superhero emblem on the turkey’s costume.

Step 7: Make the cace pieces

Now prepare the smaller pieces needed for the turkey’s face.

Trace the eyes onto a white construction paper and cut it out. You can also directly cut the eyes from the template.

Trace the beak onto yellow construction paper and cut it out.

Next, trace the eye mask and wattle onto red construction paper and cut them out.

Keep these small pieces together so they are easy to find during assembly.

Step 8: Arrange all the cut pieces

At this point, all the main pieces should be ready.

Lay the blue body with the brown head on your work surface and arrange the red feather, cape, boots, yellow belt, Superman emblem, eyes, beak, wattle, and eye mask around it.

Before gluing anything, check where each piece should go.

This makes the final assembly easier and helps you make sure everything is positioned correctly.

Step 9: Add the cape and feather

Start putting the main pieces together.

Glue the red superhero cape and the red feather tail behind the body.

Position the feather so it spreads out behind the turkey’s head and body, while the cape sits neatly behind the body.

Press the pieces down gently to make sure they stick securely.

Step 10: Add the Superman emblem and face

Now complete the front of the superhero costume.

Stick the Superman emblem onto the center of the blue body.

Then glue the yellow belt across the body underneath the emblem.

Next, add the eyes, beak, and wattle to the brown turkey head. Arrange the pieces carefully to create the turkey’s face.

Step 11: Add the boots and eye mask

Finish your superhero turkey by adding the remaining pieces.
