Step 2: Cut the body parts of giraffe out
From the template, cut all the body parts out neatly. Younger kids may not be able to do it on their own. You can assist them, if necessary.
Step 3: Make the paper plate base for the giraffe’s body
After cutting the body parts out, take a paper plate. And cut into two halves.
Take one half and cut the inner flat portion out. You can discard the rim.
Paint the paper plate with yellow colour, or the colour closest to the giraffe’s neck portion given in the template. Here we used watercolour. You can use other colouring tools like tempera paint too.
Now, let’s make the spots on the giraffe. Paste the spots on the paper plate in a random manner, making a pattern you like.
Step 4: Put together all body parts of the paper plate giraffe
Now, stick the neck of the giraffe onto the paper plate base. And then stick the giraffe’s head onto it.
The next step is to stick the legs and the tail of the giraffe onto the paper plate base. Stick as shown in the picture above and the paper plate giraffe is ready!
