New Year’s Paper Crown Craft for Kids (free template)

The countdown to the New Year is almost here, and this New Year crown craft is such a fun way to get the little ones excited for the big night!

It’s a simple paper crown that kids can put together all by themselves (with maybe a tiny bit of help with the cutting).

All you need is our crown template, some bright construction paper, and a few basic craft supplies you probably already have at home.

The best part?

Kids get to make it completely their own. They can pick their favorite colors, add sparkly details, and decorate it any way they like.

No two crowns will ever look the same, and that’s what makes it so special.

You can make these for a New Year’s Eve party, set them up as a classroom activity, or enjoy a cozy afternoon of crafting at home before the celebrations begin.

Once they’re done, the kids can proudly wear their crowns as they count down to midnight.

So, don’t wait and grab your supplies, and let’s get crafting!

Before moving on to the craft, we would appreciate it very much if you would check out our YouTube channel and subscribe to it.

Trace the two long strips from the template onto blue construction paper and carefully cut them out. Apply glue to the ends of the strips and stick them together end to end to create one longer strip.

Step 8: Attach the headband

Glue one end of the long paper strip to one side of the crown.

Place the crown around the child’s head and adjust the strip to fit comfortably. You can add more strips if two strips are not enough for your child.

Once you have the right size, glue the other end of the strip to the opposite side of the crown. Allow the glue to dry completely, and your New Year crown is ready to wear!
