Paper plate Christmas wreath craft for kids (with free template)

Here is a simple Christmas paper plate wreath craft idea you can try with your kids this year.

Using our free template, you can cut out the paper leaves and berries to decorate the wreath. So, get the kids busy being creative making their own Christmas decor!

Materials Required:

  • Paper plate
  • Marker pen
  • Scissors
  • Hot glue
  • Compass and pencil (for drawing the circle)
  • Cotton twine

Step 2: Making the base of the paper plate wreath

To make the base, draw two circles at the center of the paper plate.

You can draw it first using a compass and a pencil and then use a marker pen to trace along the circles.

And cut the circle out as shown in the top right picture of the collage.

Next, mark two lines on the circle as shown in the bottom left picture. And cut the smaller portion between the marked lines out.

Our wreath is not exactly circular and that’s why we are cutting the small portion out. If you want a circular wreath, you need not cut it out. You can print one more sheet of template to fill the leaves fully on the circle.

Now, cut the leaves and berries out from the template and stick them on to the paper plate base using hot glue.

Fill the paper plate base with the cut leaves and berries.

And then glue a cotton twine or any string that’s available using hot glue and hang it.

It’s ready!
